Paul Blackthorne on new show The River
The River, a show created by the writer of Paranormal Activity, premiered last night. It was a two hour showing, and from the commercials that I had seen leading up to it, I didn’t recognize any of the cast. However, upon watching the first couple of minutes of the show, I noticed one familiar face that I happen to be absolutely in love with!
Paul Blackthorne (the actor who played Harry Dresden on the SciFi adaptation of The Dresden Files) plays a television show producer named Clark. Right off the bat his character is a little rude and cruel, and it’s made clear in the first two episodes they played that his character had an affair with the woman, who’s husband they’re looking for in the show.
I’ve enjoyed the show so far. It’s very obvious that the same person created it who created Paranormal Activity - it has that same feel to it. Overall it isn’t scary, but there are elements of surprise that will thoroughly creep you out.
Plus, you get to see Paul Blackthorne, who is beautiful! I kept saying “come on…just catch them on fire!”
I still see him whenever I think of what Dresden would really look like.
Anyway, give it a look if you like that kind of thing!

During one season finale of White Collar I happened to step out of the room and heard my roommate scream “KATE! HARRY SHOT MOZZIE!” Exciting evening, lots of confusion. Paul Blackthorne made a good mercenary too :D

I’m a bit ashamed to say that it took me over an hour to realize where I recognized him from. :-(

I thought the same thing. “COME ON HARRY, YOU CAN DEAL WITH THIS SUPERNATURAL STUFF…oh yeah, you’re not Harry…”
